About Me :)
Hello, my name is Julieann Sandine, however, I typically go by Julie. I am 33 years old and have been teaching in Early Childhood Special Education for 9 years. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Ross for 4 1/2 years now. We have two beautiful children; Kaeson (3) and Bralieann (1). We also have two busy pups; Aspen (husky) and Gage(lab). I have had my cat, Leia for 10 years now.
This past fall, my husband and I started a whole new chapter in our lives. We are currently building our "forever" home in Harrisburg, SD where he grew up. We are hoping for the house to be finished the end of May or beginning of June. It will be a busy summer of moving for us.
My Education...
I graduated from Mason City High School in the Spring of 2001. I then went to a North Iowa Area Community College for two years, where I studied Elementary Education. I graduated from N.I.A.C.C in the Spring of 2003. I then transferred to the University of Northern Iowa to pursue my B.A. in Elementary/Early Childhood Special Education. I graduated from U.N.I, December, 2005. The semester before graduation, I completed my Student Teaching experience at Chancellor Elementary in Chancellor, SD. I taught in the 1st grade and then finished in the 5th grade class. In January of 2006, I began teaching pre-school at Montessori Pre-School in Sioux Falls. I taught there for 7 months before I took an Education Assistant position at Tea Intermediate School for one year. I then moved on to become an Early Childhood Special Education/Head Start Teacher at Brandon Elementary. I have been teaching here at Brandon for 5 years now. I have loved every moment of it and wouldn't consider doing anything else. Early Childhood has been a very memorable opportunity for me, which has led me to my next step in life. I have also completed my M.A in Special Education/Early Childhood from the University of South Dakota this past August. This was a life time goal of mine to accomplish and very grateful to have this chapter in my life complete. :)
